Feeling the need to further express his creative urge, Phil took a college course in sculpture and mold making. This intensified his interest in finding new ways to merge concrete with sculpture. In 1991, Phil, his wife Laurie, and two sons Wesley and Eric, moved to Moose Lake, a small northern Minnesota town. There he sculpted a series of highly detailed wildlife sculptures, molded in concrete, and sold throughout the United States as Earthly Creations, Inc. Phil's sculptures have been featured in numerous publications including: Garden Center Products, Water Gardening News, Birding Business, and Gifts and Decorative Accessories. In 2003, Phil established Artistry in Concrete and Sculpture and his website Philbigelow.com, a company that brings together his 25 years of concrete and sculpture experience. "I enjoy the challenge of taking on creative projects of any size where each is a unique work of art." Whether you are interested in a Fiberspan Concrete designer coffee table, countertop, sculpture, patio or wall, Phil's combined background in design, moldmaking, sculpture, concrete and construction will bring it to life. Phil and Laurie now reside in the Sedona, AZ area, a creative center in the southwest where he is further developing and producing new products including furniture, countertops, and his new Santa Fe style vigas all crafted of Fiberspan Concrete.
